Mississauga Accounting Firms Merge to Create One of Area’s Largest Regional Practices
Hufton Valvano Grover Philipp LLP will offer outstanding client service and broader industry specialization
February 9, 2015 (Mississauga, ON) – Three local accounting firms have merged to launch Hufton Valvano Grover Philipp LLP, now one of the largest regional professional services firms in the west GTA area.
The new firm was launched on January 1st, 2015 through a merger of Lemoine Hyland LLP, The Giannandrea Partnership LLP and James F. Hyland Professional Corporation. All three firms were based in Mississauga, with roots going back to 1980.
“Together we realized that each firm shared similar philosophies about client service,” explained John Valvano, one of the firm’s partners. “Each firm had a successful track record of expanding through client and professional network referrals while growing their practices internally as their clients’ businesses grew.”
By looking to the future, each firm agreed that consolidation was the natural next step in offering outstanding client services.

The newly-launched firm builds on many decades of collective experience and expertise. Specifically:
- Lemoine Hyland LLP specialized in private companies from a variety of industries including transportation, distribution, manufacturing, technology and construction.
- The Giannandrea Partnership LLP focused on high net worth individuals, owner-managed businesses and real estate and investment corporations.
- James F. Hyland had a strong focus on Not-for-Profit organizations as well as owner-managed businesses.
Hufton Valvano Grover Philipp LLP is centrally located in the former Lemoine Hyland office space at 1599 Hurontario Street in Mississauga.
